Course required textbooks for the spring semester, 2026

Please check the syllabus for required textbooks.

Each campus has designated sales location, dates and purchasing methods.
Each campus bookstore handles only textbooks for courses offered on the same campus. If you take courses conducted on the different campuses, please purchase textbooks at each campus. When purchasing or picking up your textbooks, be sure to bring your own bag to put them in.
As a rule, we do not accept returns. Please make sure you purchase textbooks after you have finalized your course registration.

How to purchase
Please check the syllabus and textbook list in advance. Fill out the 【Textbook Order Form】 with the required information and come directly to the sales venue.

「Guide for Buying Course Required Textbooks on Izumi Campus (English ver)」
At the Izumi Campus, you can order in advance via the website and complete credit card payment to ensure smooth pickup at the sales venue.
The URL will be posted in the notice section of “Oh-o!Meiji” around early April. Please check it individually.
In-person sales are also available at the sales venue. However, due to the large number of students, it can be very crowded, and waiting times may exceed 30 minutes. Therefore, we strongly recommend using the pre-order system.

Textbook Sales Q&A

QI would like to return textbooks because I would like to change my course to take.

AIn principle, we do not accept returns or refunds after purchase, except in the case of printing defects like disordered or missing pages.

QWhat are the types of payment methods available?

AThe Surugadai Campus textbook sales site accepts cash and credit card.
Payment at the textbook sales sites at the Izumi, Ikuta, and Nakano campuses is by cash only.
If you wish to pay by a method other than cash At the bookstore on the Izumi and Ikuta campuses, you will settle the payment and receive your books the following day.
Each campus bookstore accepts different payment methods.

Payment methods other than cash:
*Payment will be settled on the next day and you can receive textbooks upon completion of the payment.
*The discount rate for non-credit card payments is 5% (10% for cash and credit card payments).

QIs it possible to purchase books at a discount from the list price?

AIf you pay by cash or by credit card on the pre-order site for Izumi Campus, you can purchase at a 10% discount off the list price.
For payments other than the above, a 5% discount off the list price will be applied.

QThe textbooks are listed in the syllabus, but not in the textbook list.

AEven if the name of the textbook is listed in the syllabus, bookstore do not generally handle textbooks that have not been requested to sell by the faculty.
In such cases, please make sure to attend the first class and check directly with the faculty.

QDo I have to buy all the textbooks at once?

AYou do not need to purchase all textbooks at once. You can start purchasing textbooks for the course you have decided to take.

QCan I purchase textbooks outside the textbook sales period?

AAfter the textbook sales period, some textbooks will continue to be sold at bookstores on each campus. Other textbooks will have to be backordered. Please allow some time until the arrival of books you may order.

QIs it necessary to purchase textbooks for courses I will take in the fall semester?

ATextbooks will also be sold in the fall semester. If there is a possibility that you might change your course registration, please purchase the textbooks in the fall semester.
